Kinda Sketchy (30 Day Drawing Challenge Edition): Day 4

I was kinda lazy today, probably only spent 10 minutes. Favorite place:

The kitchen... obvs. But it was a close call between that or my bed or up north. By the way this is my oven (or at least a representation of it)

Kinda Sketchy (30 Day Drawing Challenge Edition): Day 3

My favorite food... this one took me forever!!! Not to draw, just to think of what my favorite food was. So I gave up and drew a couple... I swear I could fill a sketchbook on food alone.

I have been really digging this song tonight. Enjoy it... because I said so.

I Haz A New Fran!

I think we've decided to call her Wednesday, or Wendy for short.

P.s.  we've had her for almost 24 hours and Miles is already powerless to her... wait to go ya' big burnt marshmallow.

Kinda Sketchy (30 Day Drawing Challenge Edition): Day 1

So I am a big fan of StumbleUpon. And the other day I happened to come across a 30 day challenge, usually I think those "30 day facebook challenges" were innately stupid (just sayin'). This one is a 30 day drawing challege I felt that since I don't draw as often as I used to or should, this one might help me get back on track.

Day 1: Draw yourself

Peas-and-rice, I am rusty... but I'm not ashamed... I'm just going to keep trying harder over this next month :)

Here's the list:

A Squashy Situation: Zucchini Bread(s)

I loooove squash!! But recently I have found myself with an abundance of zucchini. I think I might have a problem because it seems whenever I pass by a farmers market I am compelled to buy a couple... which wouldn't be such a bad thing except for the fact that I'm and r-tard and forget that every Wednesday I get a CSA goodie box full of seasonal veggies. (fun fact: zucchinis are definitely in season right now).

Last week I went to go pick up my box and was in awe of the mammoth forearm-sized squash. Which caused me to wonder "What am I going to make wth this???" which led to "Holy crap!! What the hell am I going to do with all of the other ones??!!" (I tend to panic easily).

The Only Kinds Of Jewelery I Like

Some girls like jewelry. Not me. At least not normal jewelry. But I do like anything and everything day of the dead, and my husband knows this well.

Check out these beautiful plugs that Mike picked up for me. Their made by Omerica (a sweet organic jewelry company which I highly suggest you check them out, plenty of amazing styles). I cannot wait to get these little babies in my ear, only one size away!!

Also here's my pretty little nose piece (from body vision los angeles), he does know the way to this girls heart :)

Fourth O' July Cookout Ideas

Dear friends,
Are you having trouble deciding what to cook/grill up tonight? Do you really like fruits and veggies? Are you or do you have a guest that is vegetarian and have noooo ideas for veggie friendly foods? No worries I got you're back :)

Happy 'Merica Day!!

Hey all, here's a festive little breakfast/snack idea for a healthy happy refreshing 4th!!

Happy Forth Toast: (serves 1)
  • 1 slice bread (I used a whole wheat sourdough... AH-MAZ-ING)
  • 2T peanut butter (or other favorite nut butter)
  • 4-8 fresh strawberries, sliced thin
  • 1/4 of an apple, cut into thin strips
  • a few blueberries
  • Small mint sprig (to garnish, optional)
Toast the bread (totally optional), spread on the peanut butter and layer straw berries, apples and blueberries to create an American flag, or get creative and make your own design.

P.S. I promise I'll be posting more soon! Have a safe and happy holiday!! 'Merica!!
